International Public Lecture dengan Miss Ellen Romanelli dari Brazil

Tanggal 10 April 2019, merupakan hari yang istimewa karena prodi Arsitektur Lanskap kedatangan tamu yaitu Ellen Da Silva Romanelli Ferreira atau cukup dipanggil Miss Ellen. Kedatangannya di Indonesia dalam rangka liburan dan sementara tinggal di rumah Bu Diana. Miss Ellen adalah seorang arsitek, manajer proyek, wirausaha, konsultan marketing digital, landscaper, dan penulis.

Bersamaan dengan agenda perkuliahan Studio Perancangan Taman Privat, prodi arsitektur lanskap meminta Miss Ellen untuk mengisi materi tentang pengalaman arsitek, arsitektur tanggap iklim dan bagaimana seorang arsitek mendapatkan project dari klien, tentu saja dari perspektif seorang warga Brazil. Mata kuliah ini diampu oleh Bapak Judha Widhita, SP dan Bapak Irawan Setyabudi, ST.,MT dengan dimoderatori oleh Bapak Warter Agustim, dari prodi manajemen. Dan dihadiri juga dari dosen lain yaitu Bapak Rizki Alfian, S.SArl,MSi dari prodi Arsitektur Lanskap serta Bu Dianasari, dari Pascasarjana

Kegiatan perkuliahan ini sangat atraktif, banyak mahasiswa yang bertanya terutama tentang perbedaan budaya dan iklim, yang sangat mempengaruhi aspek dalam desain, implementasi lanskap dalam interior, serta pengaruh penggunaan material kaca dan logam terhadap global warming. Diantaranya mahasiswa yang bertanya adalah Reza (2017), Selly (2017), Nugroho (2017), dan beberapa mahasiswa lainnya. Ada satu clue yang menarik yang mana ada kesamaan benang merah dalam hasil desain sebagai antisipasi bangunan terhadap iklim, yaitu memperbanyak tanaman dalam gedung, seperti rooftop garden.

Miss ellen juga menjelaskan beberapa project yang dikerjakannya yaitu desain interior, sedangkan eksterior taman masih sedikit jumlahnya. Salah satunya yang disebut ‘small project’ bernilai 5000 dollar, adalah renovasi ruang tamu dan ruang keluarga.

Pengalaman ini sangat berharga dan disambut antusias oleh banyak mahasiswa. Meskipun kadang mereka terkendala bahasa namun banyak yang bisa ditangkap, karena Miss Ellen menjelaskan sesuatu dengan gerakan dan sketsa grafis. (is-2019)
